Also 2015 acquires Podo e.V. the financial support of the Podo Centre Khanka. There have already 850 Invested organized in Podo - self-help groups – 150 do we still take until the end of the year.
Pilot project Tschallia
The Podo Center in Tschallia was the pilot project, with the Christel Ahrens 2009 took the initiative against Podokoniose. “At that time” was Tschallia still a village, Today, the town is role model for developing new Podo centers in other counties of Ethiopia. Finally, always waiting…
Berlin community supports Podo project
At the beginning 2012 started a Podo Centre for sufferers in the region of Khanka. This is not used by the Podo e.V., but by the “Khanka district” worn from a community in Berlin. Anne Sommerfeld reported:
